Specialist Software Engineer - Java & Devops

As a Senior Software Engineer at Socit Gnrale, your role will involve a variety of responsibilities and tasks including: - Leading the migration of servers from one zone to another with minimal downtime. - Ensuring seamless configuration updates, testing, and validation across new zones. - Working with reverse proxies and SIPO-based load balancing setups. - Configuring and maintaining Apache HTTP Server (httpd) with custom modules and virtual hosts. - Designing and implementing platform scaling strategies to handle increased application load. - Developing and maintaining Ansible scripts for configuration management and deployment. - Setting up, analyzing logs, and dashboards using Kibana/ELK stack. - Implementing alerts and monitoring for authentication and proxy services. - Working directly with application teams to integrate new services onto the platform. - Ensuring security, availability, and performance requirements are met. - Implementing and maintaining OpenID Connect (OIDC) using modules. - Managing and troubleshooting OAuth2 and OIDC-based authentication flows. Qualifications and Skills required for this role include: - Proficiency with Apache HTTP Server configuration and modules. - Hands-on experience with reverse proxies and load balancers. - Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and hands-on skill involving artifactory. - Experience with infrastructure migration and platform scaling. - Strong knowledge in Ansible for automation and configuration management. - Working knowledge of Kibana, Elasticsearch, and centralized logging systems. - Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. - Proficiency in any scripting languages. - Understanding of OAuth2 and OpenID Connect protocols. - Knowledge in Java/J2EE. - Ability to onboard new applications securely and efficiently. - Solid troubleshooting skills and the ability to debug across systems.
