Job Title: Network L 2 Engineer

Work Location: Hyderabad

Qualifications: BE/B.Tech./ MTech . /MCA/Degree in Computer Science

Experience: 5 + years

Key Responsibilities :

• Provide L 2 escalation support for issues on varied platforms like :

• Palo Alto, Juniper, Cisco, Fortinet switches, routers and firewalls.

• Wireless solutions like Cisco/Xirrus.

• VPN concentrators, WAN accelerators.

• Load-balancers, SD WAN technologies.

• Cloud networking and replication technologies.

• R esponding to network management alerts as escalated from L1 teams and working with clients to resolve the issues.

• Ensure adherence to Managed services SLA while resolving network related tickets and also follow the best possible ticket hygiene practices.

• Provide support to Design /Implementation team in design of network solutions as required by the customer utilizing multi-vendor technology scenarios in consultation with the projects and sales teams.

• Be able to develop availability, capacity and utilization trends, engage customer to showcase value of upgrading environment s to address gaps.

• Represent the networks team on customer calls to present ISSQUARED capabilities, processes and technical capabilities in the network tower.

• Engage in operational projects like upgrades , vendor platform changes etc.

• Provide pre-sales support to sales teams as neede d for Managed services RFPs.

• Analyze existing networ ks and equipment and identify opportunities for improvement and solutions t hat meet business requirements.

• Document existing and new networks and create SOP/TSG for junior members of the team. Be responsible for training the team.

• Ability to learn and understand new solutions and platforms for support.

• Ability to partner with onshore team members to jointly develop, implement and support solutions.

• Be available on-call for emergency support.

• Develop and maintain excellent relations with key service managers and stakeholders in the customer organizations .

• 5+ years experience with at least 3 years as L 2 network engineer .

• Deep knowledge of firewalls - design philosophies, implementation methodologies, rule management and integration with other edge devices like accelerators, IDS/IPS etc. Special skills in Juniper , Fortinet and Palo Alto preferred .

• Understanding of the network security requiremen ts in a cloud based environment as well as impact of mobile devices and endpoint management concerns.

• Good communication and coordination skills to manage relationships with internal teams,customers , consultants and vendors .

• Process and result oriented, problem solving, decision and execution focused .
