Purpose of the Position : To manage and develop brake system components including actuation, foundation brakes ABS/ ESC, EPB, Handbrake and other peripherals to meet current and future Indian product includes Hybrids, BEV and manufacturing requirements. Engage in development of new technologies for brake system eg. E booster, One Box/ Two Box system, Vacuum pumps, ADAS Integration. Skills Required : Self-starting, self-motivation, working with little guidance with good analytical skills. Ability to think in a wider scope, ability to plan and develop a structure Excellent communication skills, English in written and verbal form, German / Czech Language Proficiency would be an added advantage Deep Technical analysis, problem solving and understanding of drive shaft, mounts and components A Deep understanding of Indian Automobile market, vehicles, customer, product requirements and an ability to motivate and reason for it. Time Management along with Quality Consciousness. Driving License, vehicle ABS/ ESC and brake test capability Key Responsibilities &Tasks: Coordination and cooperation with the external suppliers. Develop, propose and coordinate all solutions and steps in terms of localization in India for corner modules child parts front and rear axle, and fuel system . Analyze problems; propose the measures and Support for Quality issues / Benchmarking activities. Documentation management (Part list Management; Creation of Aekos, Deviation Permits, Change requests, Bill of material). Evaluation of all ECR related to spring & damper systems which are of relevance to cars in India. Creation and Presentation of status sheets in Pilot hall, Presentation of project status in various forums, Project time line and project monitoring till BMG. Be a communication link for Data and Information Exchange between R & D SK/VW, VW group and various agencies of SAVW India like Purchase, SRM, Program Management, logistics, Assembly, Production, and outside VW India like suppliers, NSC, test agency etc. Homologation support to whole vehicle department related to spring & damper System. Supplier scouting and evaluation of R&D capability of the external part suppliers.
