Spark Java Developer

As a Spark Java Developer at Barclays, you will be responsible for building, maintaining, and supporting the First line of controls applications. Your primary accountability will be the technical operation of this control during Asia hours, requiring effective communication with global leads in the US and India. Key Responsibilities: - Capture the functional requirements by engaging with business teams and leads in the US and India - Translate functional requirements into design and code - Write efficient regression and unit test cases for developed functionality - Collaborate with the L1 support team and actively participate in support activities for production if needed - Contribute to the maturity of DevOps practices on the application - Provide timely status updates to relevant stakeholders Qualifications Required: - Graduation in Computer Science & computer application skills - Proficiency in Java 17.0, Spark, Spring Boot, Micro Services, and SQL - Knowledge of Kafka, Apache Ignite, Cucumber framework, and React would be advantageous - Familiarity with Agile Scrum/Kanban methodology Additional Company Details: Some other highly valued skills may include partnering closely with the business operations team, working collaboratively with the global team to achieve agreed outcomes, and experience in Gitlab, Autosys, and DevOps. In this role based in Pune, your purpose will be to design, develop, and enhance software using various engineering methodologies to provide business, platform, and technology capabilities for customers and colleagues.
