Job Description

Job Overview : We are looking for a highly skilled Spare & Service Head to manage and oversee the spare parts and service operations for our heavy machinery and industrial equipment division. The ideal candidate will have 10 to 15 years of experience in machinery/ equipment procurement, with significant exposure to service management and spare parts logistics. This role requires a combination of technical knowledge, management experience, and a strong understanding of fabrication processes. As the Spare & Service Head, you will play a crucial role in ensuring operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities : Spare Parts Management : Oversee the procurement, inventory, and distribution of spare parts for machinery and industrial equipment. Ensure timely availability of spare parts, managing supplier relationships and minimizing downtime. Implement efficient processes for inventory management and cost control of spare parts. Service Operations : Manage service teams to ensure high-quality after-sales service for all machinery and equipment. Coordinate on-site services, repairs, and maintenance, ensuring customer satisfaction and quick turnaround times. Develop and implement service protocols, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company policies. Team Leadership & Development : Lead, train, and mentor a team of service engineers, technicians, and support staff. Foster a culture of excellence, encouraging continuous learning and development within the team. Ensure alignment of service objectives with company goals and customer expectations. Procurement & Supplier Coordination : Oversee the procurement of raw materials, components, and machinery required for service and maintenance operations. Manage relationships with vendors and suppliers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality materials and components. Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to optimize costs. Process Improvement & Cost Control : Identify and implement improvements in service operations to reduce costs and increase efficiency. Drive continuous improvement initiatives in spare parts management and service delivery. Analyze performance data to develop cost-effective strategies and improve operational outcomes. Customer Support & Satisfaction : Provide excellent customer service by addressing service-related issues and ensuring timely resolutions. Act as the main point of contact for key clients in managing spare parts and service needs. Monitor customer feedback to improve service quality and overall customer satisfaction. Quality Assurance & Compliance : Ensure all spare parts and service operations meet quality standards and regulatory requirements. Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for spare parts management and service delivery. Ensure safety standards are followed in all service operations. Skills & Qualifications : Technical Expertise : In-depth knowledge of spare parts management, service operations, and fabrication processes. Leadership : Proven experience leading teams in service and procurement management. Procurement & Supply Chain Management : Strong background in machinery/equipment procurement, supplier management, and cost control. Problem-Solving & Decision-Making : Ability to resolve complex issues quickly while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. Service Management : Experience in managing service delivery, including repairs, maintenance, and customer support. Process Optimization : Knowledge of lean management and continuous improvement practices to enhance service efficiency. Customer-Focused : Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service and relationship management. Additional Requirements : Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment Proficiency in using ERP systems and other relevant software for service and inventory management.
