Job Description

Summary

We are looking for an experienced

Sourcing Manager

who will be responsible for end-to-end hiring of EV drivers, riders, loaders, and field crew across multiple locations. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in high-volume blue-collar recruitment, vendor management, and on-ground sourcing. This role will ensure adequate manpower availability to support fleet operations, daily deployment needs, and business expansion.

Key Responsibilities

1. Crew Sourcing & Hiring

Lead end-to-end recruitment of EV drivers, riders, loaders, and field crew.
Build and manage sourcing channels including:
Local agencies & vendors
Driving schools
Labour contractors
Market visits & field sourcing
Social media / portals
Conduct initial screening to evaluate driving experience, behaviour, route knowledge, and background.

2. On-Ground Recruitment Activities

Conduct on-ground hiring drives at hubs, charging stations, and market clusters.
Manage daily walk-ins and ensure quality manpower availability.
Coordinate driving tests, vehicle handling checks, and route familiarity tests.

3. Vendor & Agency Management

Identify new sourcing partners for continuous manpower supply.
Negotiate rates, terms, and performance targets.
Track vendor performance (quality, turnout, joining ratio).
Ensure compliance with company policies and documentation standards.

4. Documentation & Compliance

Ensure accurate collection and verification of documents:
Driving License
Aadhaar / Address Proof
Employment history
Police Verification / Background checks
Coordinate medical tests / deployment readiness as per policy.

5. Crew Deployment & Coordination

Work closely with Operations, Fleet Managers, and Hub Managers to forecast manpower needs.
Maintain a buffer pool of drivers and field crew for urgent deployment.
Track daily attendance, no-shows, and attrition trends.

6. Reporting & MIS

Maintain detailed recruitment trackers:
Daily hiring report
Joining ratio
Attrition and replacement needs
Vendor performance
Share weekly & monthly dashboards with management.

Qualifications

Graduate
8+ years of experience in blue-collar / driver hiring (logistics preferred).
Strong knowledge of local markets and sourcing networks.
Experience in high-volume hiring environments (EV fleet, last-mile delivery, logistics).

Skills Required

Strong field-level networking and sourcing ability.
Excellent communication & relationship-building skills.
Understanding of driver profiles, behaviour, and market trends.
Good negotiation skills with vendors and agencies.
Proficiency in MS Excel/Google Sheets for reporting.
Ability to work under pressure and meet manpower targets.
