Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities: As a Sourcing engineer castings; you are responsible for evaluating, maintaining, managing and optimizing the process and product quality of the suppliers. You are responsible for complete development of casting products with suppliers which includes commercial negotiations as well as product quality maintenance. Visit Supplier base check parts as per AC required std. mentioned on drawing Investigate the quality issues with regular visits/audits and follow-up of the agreed improvement actions Provide solutions for quality improvements in part / product development. Review quality specifications and technical design documents and provide timely and meaningful feedback. Estimating, prioritizing, planning and coordinating activities with suppliers according to production / project execution requirements Identify quality issues, record & document it thoroughly and keep track. Communicating with project manager about existing defects and how to prevent them in future products Applying technical skills related to the product being tested. Ready for extensive travel within India . Educational requirements: University degree in Engineering/Technology (Mechanical) Fluent in English Knowledge: Technical expertise in solving quality related issues for castings, ,machining , fabrication All types of casting process GDC / PDC / HPDC /sand casting etc. Sound Knowledge of patterns making , casting process and casting defects Good Command over ERP Systems, knowledge of SAP is added advantage. Proficient in Microsoft Office (esp. MS Word & MS Excel). Good Command (Verbal & Written) of English is must. Knowledge of Engineered rotatory equipment is added advantage. Plan & organize effectively with the right sense of urgency. Able to work on multiple tasks by giving due importance to each task. Personality requirements: Pro-active, positive team player with good interpersonal skills, strong in communication and people oriented who thrives on working in a dynamic, complex, and multicultural business environment. Be able to adapt in a new environment. Strong interpersonal communication Self-motivated, independent, flexible, well organized, and methodical. Creativity: Ability to come up with solutions to exceptional problems outside the box. Experience: 5-6 Years of experience in Sourcing / Quality domain preferably having experience working with Castings, machining & fabrication commodities.
