Purpose of the role
1.1 Order fulfillment of Own brand as per the sales forecast, aligned with inventory planning targets
1.2 Manage the relationship with Assemblers and act as key accounts person for assembler at TVS company
1.3 Collaborate with PM team and be in constant relationship with Major component suppliers
Primary Responsibilities
- Understand Functions of each component and various spec options that’s available as per price point
- Understand various component supplier options for components and establish connection
- Able to estimate BOM cost of raw specs
- Understand the commercials involved in ordering process - Unit cost, Payment terms, Inco terms, MOQ, MOVs, etc
- Broad understanding of NDA, Contract and warranty.
- Broad understanding of steps in the Engineering component development of often customized items viz Frames, Handle bar, Battery case, motor, forks. Prepare CAD Model & 2D drawings and incorporate special characteristics derived from AQ/MBQ and DFMEA

- Effective collaboration between Assemblers & Component makers (in necessary cases) with proper understanding
- Release tentative & firm forecasts as per supplier ask by understanding the industry and prevailing lead times of order fulfillment cycle (Ordering, Manufacturing, QC, Shipping, Customs clearance, local transport etc)
- Part cost negotiation & finalization within the target cost deployed. Release LOI for tooling & samples development.

- Arrive delivery schedules with Assemblers and Major component suppliers inline with our Sales forecasts and inventory planning and QC planning as necessary

- Knowledge on SAP and hands on experience
- Reconcile due invoices & payment and communicate with TVS finance and Suppliers on monthly basis
- Manage inbound logistics with strong relationship management with logistics providers to get best lead time and costs

Cross Functional collaboration (Project team, Finance team, Logistics team) while aligning supply chain strategy with overall business goals
Efficient operation on supplier communication from concept to mass production stage
Risk Management on potential disruptions (Internal and external), followed by contingency plan. (Take Business Head approval as necessary) inbound logistics (Global) to get best prevailing rates
Adhere to Checks and Controls on Supplier invoices, bank systems and payment
Plan and arrange QC for prior to dispatch
