Sound Recordist

As a Sound Recordist at our company, you will play a crucial role in capturing high-quality audio for various projects and platforms. Your responsibilities will include: - **Production** - **Assessment and Setup:** - Assess the acoustics of the performance area and set up necessary equipment. - Consult with producers and performers to determine sound requirements. - **On-site Recording:** - Record sound in various environments onto digital audio tape or hard disk recorders. - Monitor audio signals for quality and correct any deviations or malfunctions. - **Equipment Management:** - Maintain and repair sound equipment as needed. - Select, position, and operate amplification and recording equipment. - **Post-production** - **Audio Integration:** - Integrate pre-recorded audio with visual content. - Re-record and synchronize audio if required. - **Sound Editing:** - Create and alter sound effects for films, television, etc. - Apply post-production techniques to enhance audio quality. - **Team Collaboration:** - Work closely with sound teams, directors, and sound designers. - Ensure synchronization of audio and visual content. **Qualifications & Experience** - Degree or diploma in Sound Engineering, Audio Production, or related field. - Proven experience as a sound recordist, preferably in film or broadcasting. - Comprehensive knowledge of sound recording equipment and software. **Skills & Competencies** - Proficiency in using sound recording and editing equipment and software. - Strong technical knowledge of sound recording technology. - Ability to troubleshoot sound recording issues. - Excellent hearing, sense of timing, and rhythm. - Effective under pressure, good communication, and teamwork skills. - Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality results.
