As a Material Engineer, your role will involve research, selection, testing, application, and improvement of materials to ensure projects or products meet performance, quality, cost, and safety requirements. You will play a crucial technical role connecting R&D and engineering implementation in various industries such as manufacturing, construction, automotive, aerospace, electronics, and energy. Your key responsibilities will include: - **Material research and selection** - Select appropriate metals, non-metals, polymers, composite materials, etc. based on project requirements. - Evaluate material performance and applicability, considering factors like strength, corrosion resistance, and high temperature resistance. - Provide material selection and alternatives to balance performance and cost. - **Material testing and analysis** - Develop and execute material performance testing plans, encompassing physical, chemical, and mechanical testing. - Analyze test results and compile material performance evaluation reports. - Conduct failure analysis on unqualified materials or products and suggest improvement measures. - **Engineering support and application** - Offer material technical support to design, process, and production departments. - Ensure the application of materials in manufacturing and construction meets quality and safety standards. - Engage in new product research and development to optimize material usage and enhance performance and durability. - **Quality and Compliance Management** - Ensure materials comply with industry standards, regulations, and environmental requirements like ISO, ASTM, RoHS, and REACH. - Assist in material supplier audits and quality control. - Monitor the material lifecycle to mitigate risks and costs. - **Innovation and Continuous Improvement** - Focus on applying new materials, processes, and cutting-edge technologies. - Participate in R&D and innovation projects to advance materials technology. - Propose material improvement plans to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. In terms of qualifications, you should have: - Bachelor's degree or higher in materials science and engineering, metallurgical engineering, polymer materials, chemical engineering, or related majors. - Over 2 years of experience in materials research, testing, or engineering applications. - Familiarity with common materials" properties and applications such as steel, aluminum alloy, concrete, plastic, and composite materials. - Proficiency in material analysis and testing methods along with the use of relevant experimental equipment. - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Additionally, possessing a qualification certificate of materials engineer or related professions, familiarity with tools like finite element analysis (FEA) and computer-aided design (CAD/CAE), experience in large-scale engineering projects or multinational companies, and research on new energy materials, sustainable materials, or smart materials would be considered advantageous.,
