Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Solar Technical Manager – Pre-Sales to lead the technical evaluation, system design, and proposal development for solar power projects. The ideal candidate should possess deep expertise in solar PV design and engineering, strong techno-commercial acumen, and the ability to support the sales team in developing efficient, competitive, and client-focused solar solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead all pre-sales technical activities for rooftop and ground-mounted solar PV projects.
  • Perform site surveys, feasibility studies, and energy yield assessments using design tools such as PVSyst, AutoCAD, and Helioscope.
  • Develop detailed system designs, SLDs, layouts, and technical proposals aligned with client requirements and project standards.
  • Collaborate with the sales, estimation, and procurement teams to prepare accurate BOQs, costing, and techno-commercial offers.
  • Evaluate vendor specifications (modules, inverters, structures, BOS components) to ensure technical compliance and cost efficiency.
  • Support in client presentations, RFP/RFQ responses, and bid preparation.
  • Provide technical clarifications and value engineering inputs during proposal discussions.
  • Ensure adherence to industry standards, safety norms, and relevant codes (IEC, MNRE, DISCOM requirements).
  • Stay updated with the latest solar technologies, policies, and market developments to enhance solution quality and competitiveness.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to the pre-sales engineering team.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Mechanical / Renewable Energy Engineering (Master’s preferred).
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in solar PV system design, pre-sales, or project engineering.
  • Strong understanding of solar EPC processes, grid-connected system design, and technical evaluation.
  • Proficiency in PVSyst, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Helioscope, and MS Office tools.
  • In-depth knowledge of solar modules, inverters, mounting structures, and BOS components.
  • Excellent techno-commercial understanding and ability to translate client requirements into optimal design solutions.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and client engagement skills.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹800,000.00 per year
