Solar Project Manager (C&I- Rooftop)

Job Title: Project Manager

Location: Hyderabad 3 Openings; Hospet, Karnataka 1 Opening

Nature of work: Solar rooftop project execution, 1 MW and above.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering (BE / B.Tech - Electrical).

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Rooftop Solar Project Execution.

• Strong understanding of electrical systems, solar power plant standards and

regulations.

• Proficiency in project planning, vendor management, and client coordination.

Project Planning &; Scheduling:

1. Develop detailed project execution plans, schedules and resource plans.

2. Coordinate design, approvals, procurement and site mobilisation.

3. Prepare risk management and mitigation plans for critical activities.

4. Ensure alignment of the project plan with the client's requirements and budget.

Procurement &; Vendor Coordination:

5. Ensure timely material procurement as per approved BOQ and standards.

6. Track vendor readiness, delivery schedules and logistics planning.

7. Perform technical evaluation and onboarding of vendors/sub-contractors.

8. Monitor material quality and quantity at delivery.

Site Execution &; Supervision:

9. Lead daily site execution ensuring quality, safety &; work discipline.

10. Supervise installation activities (Module mounting, DC/AC, cabling, Earthing etc.).

11. Deploy manpower effectively and monitor progress against schedule.

12. Coordinate with internal design &; engineering teams to resolve site issues.

Quality Assurance &; Quality Control (QA/QC):

13. Ensure QA/QC compliance in accordance with standards and ITPs.

14. Conduct quality checks, inspections and maintain NCR tracking.

15. Review material certifications and installation workmanship quality.

Health, Safety &; Environment (HSE):

16. Ensure site compliance with HSE policies, PPE usage and safe work practices.

17. Conduct safety audits, toolbox talks and incident reporting.

18. Implement emergency response and permit-to-work systems.

Project Coordination &; Stakeholder Management:

19. Act as primary contact for client communication and coordination.

20. Maintain communication with vendors, DISCOMs, and approval authorities.

21. Provide timely project updates to management &; stakeholders.

Monitoring, Reporting &; Documentation:

22. Track milestones, site progress and ensure timeline adherence.

23. Maintain all site documents, including DPR, Test reports, and Drawings.

24. Support billing, BOQ verification and contractual documentation.

Testing, Commissioning &; Handover:

25. Conduct pre-commissioning and commissioning activities for solar systems.

26. Coordinate DISCOM connectivity, net-metering and statutory approvals.

27. Prepare final documentation and ensure smooth client handover.

28. Close snag lists and ensure operational readiness.
