QA / Software Test Engineer (E-commerce, Web & Mobile)
Work Mode: Remote/Work From Home
Experience: 2–4 years
Key Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and execute test cases for web (Next.js storefront) and mobile apps (React Native for iOS & Android).
Test backend APIs (Medusa.js / Node.js) for functionality, performance, and security.
Perform manual testing and create automation scripts where applicable.
Validate core e-commerce features such as product catalog, cart, checkout, payments, orders, inventory, shipping, and notifications.
Conduct cross-platform testing across different browsers and mobile devices.Ensure seamless integration testing between backend, mobile, and web systems.Document and track bugs using tools like Jira or GitHub Issues.Collaborate closely with development teams to reproduce and resolve issues.Verify deployment builds before releasing to staging or production environments.Assist in defining and maintaining QA processes, test plans, and regression suites.
Required Skills:
Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies (functional, regression, integration, UAT).
Hands-on experience with testing web applications and mobile apps.Experience with API testing tools (Postman, Insomnia, Swagger).
Familiarity with test automation frameworks:
Web: Cypress, Playwright, or Selenium.
Mobile: Appium, Detox, or similar tools.
Solid knowledge of SQL for database validation (PostgreSQL).
Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and integration of tests.
Familiarity with Git/GitHub or GitLab for version control.
Knowledge of payment gateway integrations (Stripe, Razorpay, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay).
Strong communication skills for effective issue reporting and documentation.
Nice-to-Have:
Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Locust, k6).
Knowledge of security testing basics (authentication, session handling, input validation).
Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure).
Previous experience in testing e-commerce platforms.
Exposure to agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
