Software Quality Assurance Engineer

Job Summary: The SQA Engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of software products by developing and executing comprehensive test plans and strategies. This role involves collaboration with cross functional teams to identify, document, and resolve software issues, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for software projects. Identify, document, and track defects and issues in collaboration with developers and stakeholders. Perform manual and automated testing, including functional, regression, performance and stress testing. Collaborate with product management and development teams to understand requirements and provide feedback on potential risks and quality implications. Implement and maintain automated test scripts using suitable testing frameworks and tools. Conduct root cause analysis of identified defects and provide feedback for improvement. Ensure adherence to established QA processes, standards, and best practices. Stay up to date with the latest QA methodologies, tools, and technologies to continuously improve QA practices. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in computer science, IT, or related field. Proven experience in software quality assurance and testing. Proficiency in scripting and automation tools (Selenium, python) Familiarity with version control systems (e.g Git) Experience with bug tracking and test management tools (Azure DevOps, JIRA) Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. Attention to the detail and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus. Preferred skills: ISTQB certification or similar professional qualification. Experience working with cloud platforms and containerization tools (eg. Docker, Kubernetes). Familiarity with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner)
