Job Description

Role & responsibilities Conduct thorough testing of inventory/finance module ERP software to identify defects, bugs, and performance issues. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and business analysts, to understand requirements and design comprehensive test cases. Perform end-to-end testing of inventory-related functionalities, including inventory tracking, order management, stock reconciliation, and reporting. Perform end-to-end testing of finance-related functionalities, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and transaction management. Design, develop, and execute both manual and automated test scripts to validate software functionality and performance. Document and report defects, issues, and test results using appropriate bug tracking tools and reporting mechanisms. Assist in the creation and maintenance of test environments, test data, and testing tools as necessary. Continuously improve testing processes, methodologies, and strategies to enhance overall product quality and testing efficiency. Collaborate with the development team to understand technical aspects of the software and provide valuable feedback during the development lifecycle. Participate in requirement analysis and design reviews to provide input from a testing perspective. Preferred candidate profile Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering (B.Tech), or a related field. Master's degree (MCA) is a plus. Proven experience in QA testing, with a strong background in inventory testing or finance module testing for ERP. Familiarity with testing methodologies, test case design, and test execution. Experience in manual testing and good to have automated testing, including knowledge of testing tools and frameworks. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high IQ and the ability to understand complex systems. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with cross-functional teams. Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to document defects and issues accurately. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, adapting to changing priorities and requirements. Knowledge of bug tracking tools and version control systems. A proactive attitude towards identifying potential quality improvements in the software. Familiarity with agile development methodologies and continuous integration processes. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. Good to have Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar would be an added advantage. Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript) for automated testing. Understanding of SQL and the ability to write basic queries for database validation. Previous experience in testing inventory management software or related supply chain management systems.
