Join us as a Senior Manager on our Software Engineering team in India (Bengaluru) to drive impactful cross-functional initiatives and make a profound social impact. What you ll achieve As an Engineering Manager, you will lead and support software development scrum teams across UI Tech and OEM, focusing on both software applications (maintenance and enhancements) and new product lines. In this role, you ll work collaboratively with internal and external partners to design, develop, and advance the technology stack and drive cross-functional projects that span multiple domains. You will: Champion Cross-Functional Initiatives: Partner closely with leaders across UI Tech, UX, and PM orgs to align and execute on strategic initiatives that enhance our platform capabilities and deliver a seamless and cohesive experience for our users. Establish Collaborative Goals: Set aligned goals and expectations for the team and ensure they support company policies, standards, and overall objectives. Coach and Mentor: Guide team members in their career growth, helping them identify and leverage opportunities for development. Align with Product and Engineering Leadership: Collaborate on team charters and establish achievable cross-domain goals and strategies that enhance customer value and align with company objectives. Coordinate Development & Release Activities: Plan, prioritize, and coordinate activities (including agile processes and scrum ceremonies), working with Support, Customer Success, and Product to deliver a consistent and integrated customer experience. Drive Progress and Adaptability: Track progress, proactively identify challenges, and adjust plans based on engineering metrics and actionable insights to achieve desired outcomes. Foster a Collaborative Environment: Create a work environment that enables teams to work cohesively and cross-functionally while supporting a healthy work-life balance. Be Accountable for Outcomes: Take ownership of outcomes (measured via engineering and customer metrics) and culture across multiple teams, advocating for technical excellence in areas like Observability, Scalability, and Stability. Support Technical Foundations: Maintain a foundational understanding of the technical architecture within your domain areas to make informed decisions and support cross-functional initiatives. Talent Hiring: Contribute to the hiring process for respective domains and engineering, as and when required. Take the first step toward your career with Boomi Essential Requirements Experience mentoring team members and people leaders in their professional growth Proven experience in managing cross-functional intiatives with agile and lean development practices Strong advocate for leveraging common frameworks, test automation, CI/CD, and DevOps principles as part of the team s deliverables Background in developing and maintaining large-scale software systems in production Strong written and verbal communication skills for coordinating within and across teams Desirable Requirements 6+ years experience in software development 4+ years experience in people leadership Familiarity with organizational change management approaches Proficiency in building and managing full stack applications using modern frameworks (e.g., React//Node and Java) Experience implementing modern development practices Nice to Have: SaaS experience and familiarity with cloud technologies (e.g., AWS)
