In one sentence As a Software Engineering Manager at Amdocs, you will lead a team of software engineers, overseeing the design, development, and implementation of innovative software solutions for our clients in the telecommunications industry. What will your job look like Years of Experience: 8-10 years 1. Responsibilities: Lead and mentor a team of software engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement Oversee software development projects from inception to completion, ensuring high-quality deliverables within specified timelines Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers and stakeholders, to align engineering efforts with business objectives Manage resource allocation, project timelines, and budgets effectively Implement and maintain software development processes and best practices Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation within the team 2. Technical Skills: Backend Development: Proficiency in Python for backend development, with a focus on building scalable and efficient server-side applications Big Data: Knowledge of big data technologies and frameworks for processing and analyzing large datasets efficiently Database Management: Strong understanding of database systems, both relational and NoSQL, to design and optimize data storage solutions Programming Languages: Expertise in Python and Java, with the ability to lead projects using these languages and mentor team members GeoSpatial Data: Experience working with geospatial data and related technologies, including MapBox for visualization and analysis of location-based information will be nice to have.
