2 June 2025 Job Description Job Title: Software Engineer Trainee Location: Mangalore Overview: We are seeking a passionate and driven Software Engineer Trainee with a strong foundation in programming and database systems. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in at least one core technology C#, Java, Python, SQL, or Database management and a willingness to grow across full-stack development, backend logic, or data handling. This opportunity is ideal for someone eager to learn, contribute to real-world projects, and build a strong technical foundation in software engineering. The candidate should demonstrate strong foundational knowledge in database design and software engineering principles, with additional interest in AI technologies. Key Responsibilities: Assist in the development and maintenance of scalable software applications using C#, Java, or Python. Support backend logic and API development using frameworks like Spring Boot, ASP.NET, or FastAPI. Collaborate with team members to design, implement, and optimize SQL queries and database structures. Participate in code reviews, debugging, and performance tuning of applications. Work with relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MSSQL for data management tasks. Contribute to documentation and testing for various modules and APIs. Gain exposure to development tools like Visual Studio, IntelliJ, or VS Code. Understand basic CI/CD processes and use of Git for version control. Required Qualifications: Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Basic knowledge in at least one programming language: C#, Java, or Python. Familiarity with database concepts and experience in writing simple SQL queries. Eagerness to learn, adapts, and works in a collaborative environment. Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail. Desired Skills: Proficiency in one or more: C#/.NET, Java/Spring, or Python/FastAPI. Experience with SQL optimization and relational data modelling. Familiarity with RESTful APIs and backend service integration. Exposure to Git, GitHub, or similar version control systems. Understanding of AI/ML concepts or experience with AI APIs (e.g., OpenAI). Understanding of object-oriented design principles. Preferred Experience: Academic projects or internships involving software development or database design. Hands-on practice with tools like MySQL Workbench, SSMS, or pg. Admin. Exposure to both frontend and backend development workflows.
