Software Engineer- Search & AI

As a part of the Applied Machine Learning team at Apple, you will play a crucial role in conceptualizing, designing, implementing, and running cutting-edge solutions using ML, AI, and NLP techniques. You will have the opportunity to work on cross-functional projects with challenging use cases, contributing to real-world problem-solving with modern technologies. - Craft and develop high-quality enterprise software solutions - Think creatively about solutions and lead by example in their implementation - Possess excellent written and communication skills - Collaborate effectively with team members and question assumptions when needed - Bachelor's in Computer Science or equivalent experience - 7+ years of experience in building and managing big-data platforms, with proficiency in Java - Working experience with search and information retrieval tools like Lucene, Solr, Elasticsearch, Milvus, Vespa Preferred Qualifications: - Scale distributed ML and AI systems to handle millions of concurrent requests - Implement ML applications in cross-domain contexts - Familiarity with public cloud platforms such as AWS/GCP - Understanding of AI/ML stack including GPUs, MLFlow, LLM models - Knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL concepts - Experience in creating frameworks to deploy platforms in AWS/Azure/GCP - Ability to lead and mentor junior team members, provide technical guidance, and collaborate effectively with multi-functional teams - Stay updated with the latest advancements in machine learning and data science, and willingness to learn new tools and technologies as needed If you are passionate about contributing to cutting-edge machine learning projects at Apple and meet the qualifications mentioned above, we encourage you to submit your CV for consideration.,
