Software Engineer - Product

Commenda is automating compliance for multinationals. Our competitors are the Big Four accounting firms, who earn a combined $200b/yr in revenue. Our goal is to make that the Big Five, and then to make it the Big One.

We offer a comprehensive product suite, including:

• Entity Management: Track the compliance status of each entity in your multinational corporate structure.
• Tax & Accounting: Understand your filing obligations and match with accountants who support your requirements. Our accountants do filings on your behalf comprehensively or a-la-carte.
• Transaction tax: Monitor your global sales to identify VAT, GST, and sales tax reporting requirements. Calculate tax on transactions based on the products being sold, information about your business, and information about your customer. Automatically register when you exceed thresholds and file periodically.
• Transfer pricing: Generate compliant transfer pricing documentation across your global structure.

• Incorporation & Global Expansion: Set up an entity in a new jurisdiction where you want to hire, sell, or fundraise.
• Research Console: Get reliable information about tax & compliance from an AI research console that's tailor-made for the needs of a compliance professional.

Your role will be to support and extend this product suite to support our growth, adding new products and features. You'll sit with designers, operations, and growth and help them identify gaps in our existing product, and you'll close them quickly and in a high-quality way.

We are a small, high-commitment team of 7 software engineers. Your work will be essential from day 1, and you'll need to hit the ground running.

This is a full-stack software engineering role, but candidates with primarily frontend or web backend experience are encouraged to apply!
