Job Description

Role Overview: As a member of the Stripe Infrastructure team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, scale, performance, and cost efficiency of Stripes systems. You will have the opportunity to work on diverse projects that contribute to enhancing the productivity and satisfaction of Stripes employees. Your main focus will be on building a great customer experience for both internal and external Stripe teams through the development and maintenance of robust infrastructure. Key Responsibilities: - Build a great customer experience for internal and external Stripe teams using our infrastructure - Participate in roadmap planning and prioritization - Deliver value through a strong collaborative approach with multiple customers and stakeholders across Stripe - Debug production issues across services and several levels of the stack - Uphold Stripes high standards for engineering and product quality and mentor newer team members to do the same Qualifications Required: - Strong technical background with 7+ years of experience building impactful products or systems at scale - Enjoy working as a generalist on frontend, backend, and other areas to solve problems and create delightful user experiences - Write high-quality code with thorough testing, clear documentation, and appropriate production observability - Empathetic towards users, both internal and external, and committed to enhancing customer experience - Proven ability to integrate different services and processes, even with no prior experience - Uphold best practices in engineering, security, and design Additional Company Details: Stripes in various locations are expected to spend a certain percentage of time in the office or with users, depending on the role, team, and location. This approach aims to balance in-person collaboration and flexibility while supporting user needs and workflows.
