Software Engineer in Test -Senior Analyst I/ Senior Analyst II

Job Description

As a Senior Analyst / Senior Software Test Engineer, you will collaborate closely with small cross-functional teams to deliver high-value features in short iterations. You are the team member that everyone wants in their sprint planning meetings because you find all the holes in the planning process before any code is written. You should also have at least one specialization you have mastered. You will also: Serve as a testing coach for the team Proactively mitigate risks for planned epics and projects Work autonomously to effectively test features and document test results in an Agile environment Collaborate with team members to quickly deliver customer value and learn from customer feedback Come up with creative and innovative solutions to complex testing problems Evaluate and help define acceptance criteria for user stories Analyze and break down large user stories into smaller, more leaner stories Effectively plan for all testing activities required for the selected user stories each sprint Develop effective testing strategy and execute exploratory tests based on acceptance criteria Develop and maintain manual test cases or documentation for complex testing scenarios Assist with building and maintaining testing environments Attend project meetings and provide technical expertise as required Identify and communicate obstacles Serve as subject matter expert on the product and related technologies Research new testing technologies and tools Post-graduate diploma or Coding Bootcamp with education in Information Technology and Computer Science Six (6+) plus years of relevant experience This team member should have experience in automation tool (Playwright). Ability to apply systems thinking to the entire software development lifecycle Ability to define and implement test strategies for complex product features, working with cross-functional teams to ensure complete test coverage across different layers of the product (functional, performance, security, etc.). Solid understanding of technologies that are used on our projects and how they work together Ability to track, prioritize, and report software defects using issue tracking systems (e.g., Jira) Solid understanding of Software Quality Assurance processes and tools. Ability to identify opportunities to improve testing processes, tools, and methodologies. Passionate about software testing and technology Ability to mentor junior test engineers and guide them on best practices for test design, test execution, and automation Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent time management skills. Should have strong attention to detail with the ability to think critically and troubleshoot complex software issues. Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate them when appropriate. Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment. Preferred Qualification: Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. Azure). Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git Understanding of CI/CD pipelines.
