Job Description

Collaborate with developers, product managers, and designers to build features around subscription and membership management, as well as tracking member benefits for both customers and guests. Tackle challenging projects in a supportive, cross-functional team environment. Ship code with a direct, measurable impact on Toast s growth. Work on new product features from the ground up, driving innovation and technical excellence. Partner with experienced engineers to contribute to design and code reviews. Monitor feature rollouts to ensure customer success and iterate on improvements. What You ll Need: 3+ years of experience with Java, Kotlin, or other object-oriented languages. Proficiency with modern web technologies and UI frameworks (e.g., React, TypeScript, REST, GraphQL). Experience with databases like PostgreSQL, DynamoDB (or similar). Familiarity with asynchronous communication via message queues (e.g., Pulsar, JMS) or Kafka is a plus. Knowledge of microservices architecture, distributed systems, and/or enterprise messaging systems is a plus. Proven experience delivering reliable services to production. Strong communication skills, especially around complex technical topics. Passion for technology and continuous learning. Curiosity and eagerness to tackle large, impactful problems.
