Software Engineer Full Stack Developer

As a Software Engineer-Full Stack Developer at Barclays in the Operational Support Systems (OSS) Platform Engineering team, your role is vital to the design, build, and maintenance of the underlying OSS infrastructure and toolchain that supports the Barclays Global Network. You will have the opportunity to leverage cutting-edge technology to drive innovation and enhance customer experiences in a dynamic and collaborative environment. **Key Responsibilities:** - Demonstrate expertise in front-end and back-end development with proficiency in Java and the Spring Ecosystem, including Spring MVC, Data JPA, and Security, along with strong SQL and NoSQL integration skills. - Utilize React.js and JavaScript frameworks like material UI, Ant design, and state management tools such as Redus, Zustand, or Context API. - Possess strong knowledge of runtime environments, virtualization, containers, Kubernetes, and experience in test-driven development using frameworks like Cypress, Playwright, and Selenium. - Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Github Actions, Jenkins, Gitlab CI, or similar systems. - Expertise in monitoring and observability tools like logging, tracing, alerting, and integrating with SRE solutions like Grafana/ELK. **Qualifications Required:** - Experience building ELT pipelines and integrating with cloud/storage solutions like data lake/warehouse integrations (e.g., Redshift, BigQuery, Snowflake). - Knowledge of security practices including OAuth2, CSRF/XSS protection, secure coding, and performance optimization techniques such as JVM tuning, caching, and rate limiting. - Familiarity with Public, Private, and Hybrid Cloud technologies (DC, AWS, Azure, GCP) and Network domains like WAN/SD-WAN/LAN/WLAN.
