Software Engineer (Dev + QA)

As a Software Engineer (Dev + QA) at TVS Electronics, you will play a crucial role in both software development and quality assurance activities. You will have the opportunity to work on building secure, high-quality, and responsive web applications using technologies such as .NET Core, Angular, NodeJS, and MS SQL. Your attention to detail and commitment to best practices will be essential in ensuring the success of our projects. **Key Responsibilities:** - **Development:** - Design, develop, and maintain web applications using .NET Core, Angular, NodeJS, and MS SQL or any relational database. - Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code following best practices and development standards. - Build responsive, user-friendly interfaces with a focus on performance and security. - Participate in requirement analysis and convert business needs into technical solutions. - Collaborate with the team to improve architecture, performance, and application quality. - **Quality Assurance:** - Perform manual and functional testing to validate application functionality, usability, and reliability. - Create, maintain, and execute test cases; document and track defects through resolution. - Ensure quality across the SDLC through continuous testing and validation. - Basic knowledge of automation is preferred; if not, a strong willingness to learn and expand into automation testing is expected. - **Collaboration & Processes:** - Work within an Agile development environment and participate in all Agile ceremonies. - Collaborate closely with developers, testers, product managers, and other stakeholders. - Contribute to team discussions, share ideas, and support continuous improvement. - Demonstrate strong communication, problem-solving skills, and team collaboration. **Required Skills & Qualifications:** - 3-4 years of hands-on experience in web development. - Strong experience in: - .NET Core - Angular - NodeJS (good to have) - MS SQL or any relational database - Solid understanding of manual and functional QA testing. - Strong technical problem-solving ability and attention to detail. - Experience working in Agile teams. - Good communication skills and a proactive, team-first attitude. **Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):** - Basic knowledge of automation testing (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar). - Experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), or cloud platforms. - Exposure to secure coding practices and performance tuning.
