About the Role

  • We are looking for an experienced

    Software Development Engineer – II (PHP & JavaScript)

    to join our BT Tech team.
  • You will work on high-performance systems (~5 million API jobs/day) and contribute to building scalable retail technology solutions.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop applications using

    PHP 7+

    (CakePHP / Laravel / Yii / Phalcon).
  • Collaborate with product teams to convert requirements into technical solutions.
  • Contribute to system architecture & design for scalable, robust modules.
  • Write clean, optimized, and maintainable code.
  • Participate in code reviews and follow best coding practices.
  • Work closely with QA to define and execute testing strategies.
  • Support scaling of backend infrastructure.
  • Work within Agile processes — daily standups, sprint planning & retrospectives.


Essential Requirements

  • 4+ years

    experience in

    PHP 7+

    (any one framework: CakePHP, Laravel, Yii, Phalcon).

  • 2+ years

    experience in

    MySQL

    .
  • Strong experience in

    Angular.js / React.js / Vue.js

    .
  • Hands-on with

    HTML5 & CSS3

    .
  • Educational Qualification: BE/B.Tech/ME/M.Tech/BCA/MCA.


Good to Have

  • Experience with

    Git/Jenkins or any CI/CD tools

    .
  • Knowledge of

    AWS/Azure

    .
  • Experience with

    Redis

    .
  • Knowledge of

    Python or Node.js

    .
  • Experience with

    NoSQL / Elasticsearch

    .
