Software Developer

Your Role:

• The applicant must be an expert in both frontend and backend technologies used in software development
• Must be comfortable in developing web-server applications and be competent in coding advanced analytical algorithms in R/python/MATLAB
• The applicant must be capable of working on state-of-the-art techniques enabling the continuous flow of development activities with a single code base
• The applicant must be proficient with aesthetics and stylesheets development
• Comfortable working in an ‘Agile’ based execution strategy

Who you are:

• Must be comfortable to work in either Hyderabad or Bangalore, India
• Must have minimum 4 years of relevant work experience
• Extensive experience in Core PHP development with a strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles. Knowledge of frameworks like Laravel Framework, CakePHP or CodeIgniter will be advantage
• Sound knowledge of current web development technologies including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, etc.
• Strong working knowledge in ‘R programming language’
• Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases including schema design and query optimization, version control tools and of developing web services
• Proficiency in statistics, biostatistics and data analytics
• Knowledge in bioprocessing and biotechnology, computational biology is desirable and holding advanced degrees in these fields is an added advantage
• Should have ability to put the requirements into efficient coding with general best practices guidelines
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Bitbucket, Git etc.
• Understanding of web security best practices and performance optimization techniques
• Should contribute to complete software development life cycle right from requirement analysis, system design and development, testing and deployments
• Generate proper documentations in all phases of software development life cycle
• Should be able to analyze and resolve performance bottlenecks. Hands-on design, coding & development. Should upskill himself with technical knowledge, conduct R&D, troubleshooting etc. on regular basis

• Scaled Agile Framework, Windows OS, Life Sciences(exposure)
• Ability to discuss solutions and requirements with supervisor
• Ability to document Design Specifications, solutions and configuration in technical documents
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Ability to lead small projects as required
