The Training & Placement Office at SGVU plays a pivotal role in preparing students for successful careers through targeted skill-building programs. Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and passionate Soft Skills Trainer to join our Training & Placement Office. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high-impact training sessions that enhance students’ communication, interpersonal, and professional skills to improve their placement readiness and workplace effectiveness. Key Responsibilities: Design and deliver training modules on soft skills including communication, presentation, body language, group discussion, personal grooming, interview techniques, and workplace etiquette. Conduct mock interviews, group discussions, and resume-building workshops. Assess student performance through evaluations, role-plays, and feedback sessions. Coordinate with academic departments to schedule training sessions aligned with placement drives. Customize training plans based on student needs, academic levels, and industry expectations. Maintain training records, feedback logs, and generate progress reports for student batches. Collaborate with industry professionals, alumni, and recruiters to align content with real-world requirements. Contribute to organizing career counseling sessions and pre-placement preparation programs. Qualifications & Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (mandatory); Master’s degree in English, Psychology, HR, or a related field (preferred). Certification or training in soft skills, communication, or behavioral skills is an advantage. Minimum 2–5 years of experience as a soft skills or communication trainer, preferably in an academic setup. Excellent command over English language and strong interpersonal skills. Ability to connect with students and adapt content delivery to diverse learning styles. Comfortable working independently and collaboratively with placement teams and departments.
