About the role Skills: React / Next.js, TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), TailwindCSS, Figma, UI/UX design, responsive layouts, component architecture, design systems As one of our first engineers, you’ll shape the look and feel of Socratix AI. You’ll design and ship a production-grade AI platform, collaborate directly with founders on product and design decisions, and partner with both large enterprises and cutting-edge startups. This is a high-impact role with massive scope for growth — you won’t just be building features, you’ll be defining how AI transforms financial operations. What You’ll Do Design and deliver production-grade AI agents. Work directly with founders on product and strategy. Collaborate with enterprise and startup partners to deliver impact. Drive execution in a high-ownership, high-leverage role. Learn firsthand what it takes to build a rocket-ship startup. What We’re Looking For Must-haves: 2–4 years of experience as a frontend or fullstack engineer (CS degree or equivalent background). Strong frontend development skills with React (or Next.js) and TypeScript . Excellent visual and interaction design skills — able to take ideas from concept to polished UI. Deep understanding of HTML, CSS (or TailwindCSS) , responsive design, and accessibility. Experience integrating with APIs and collaborating closely with backend engineers. A 0 → 1 builder mindset — comfortable owning both design and implementation from scratch. Ability to thrive in fast-paced, iterative startup environments and balance speed with craftsmanship. Nice-to-haves (but not required): Experience creating or maintaining design systems and reusable component libraries. Familiarity with AI-driven UX (e.g., conversational interfaces, agent dashboards, or adaptive UI). Prior startup experience where you wore both design and engineering hats.
