The Role: What You'll Do

Reporting directly to the Marketing Manager, the Social Media Marketing Intern will be crucial in growing our community and translating the Maisha aesthetic into compelling digital content.

• Content Creation & Ideation

  :
• Assist in brainstorming, creating, and editing engaging content (Reels, Carousels, Stories, static posts) for platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest.
• Ensure all visual and written content captures the brand's unique handcrafted and sustainable narrative.
• Stay up to date on the latest social media trends and proactively suggest ways to integrate them into our strategy.

• Community Management:

• Monitor all social channels and actively engage with followers by responding to comments and direct messages in the authentic Maisha brand voice.
• Help build a loyal community by spotting user-generated content and initiating conversations

• Scheduling & Optimisation

  :
• Manage the weekly and monthly content calendar, ensuring timely posting across all channels.
• Assist in setting up and optimising content using relevant hashtags, keywords, and accessibility best practices.

Who You Are (Skills & Qualifications)

• Interested in Social Media:

  You are a keen user of Instagram and are fluent in the language of Reels and viral trends.

• Creative and Visual:

  You have a keen eye for aesthetics and basic skills in content creation/editing tools (e.g., Canva, VN, InShot).

• Excellent Writer:

  You can write clear, compelling, and brand-consistent captions.

• Self-Motivated:

  You are proactive, highly organised, and can manage multiple creative tasks simultaneously.
