SOC L2 Analysts are responsible for deeper investigation and response to security incidents that go beyond the scope of Level 1 triage. Their key duties include:
• Incident Investigation & Response o Analyze alerts escalated by L1 analysts o Determine the scope, impact, and root cause of incidents o provides remediation plan to Alstom partner(s) and cordinate containment, eradication, and recovery efforts • Threat Hunting o Proactively search for signs of compromise or malicious activity using threat intelligence and behavioral analysis • Advanced Log Analysis o Examine logs from firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEMs, and endpoint tools to identify anomalies • Use of Security Tools o Operate and fine-tune SIEM platforms, EDR solutions, and forensic tools • Collaboration & Escalation o Work with L3 analysts and other IT teams for complex incidents o Escalate critical threats and contribute to incident reports • Playbook Development o Help improve and create response playbooks and automation scripts
