You will be joining the newly formed joint venture company between Airbus and Air India, known as Airbus India Training Center (AITC). This joint venture aims to establish a world-class pilot training center in Gurugram, Haryana, offering A320 and A350 flight training to around 5,000 new pilots over the next 10 years, with operations set to commence in early 2025. As the Head of Training, you will play a key role in this strategically critical project, contributing to the formation of a leading Aviation Academy in South Asia that will enhance operational and safety standards for Airbus and Air India operators in the region. Based in Gurgaon, Haryana, you will hold a position within the legal entity of the joint venture company, Airbus India Training Center. Your responsibilities will include ensuring that Airbus Training standards are met at the local Training Centre, aligning with corporate training objectives. This involves overseeing the integration of flight training in aircraft or flight simulation training devices, monitoring individual trainee progress, and issuing Airbus Training certificates in accordance with global requirements. Additionally, you will be accountable for establishing and maintaining various aspects within the Training Centre, such as defining trainee pre-requisites, managing training materials, ensuring instructor/examiner competencies, and overseeing training forms and progress reports. Your role will require a keen awareness of compliance risks and a strong commitment to upholding integrity, which are fundamental to the success, reputation, and sustainable growth of the company.
