As a Site Reliability Engineer focused on developer experience, you will help build and maintain scalable, reliable, and secure infrastructure that powers modern cloud-native applications. You will collaborate with engineering teams to streamline deployments, improve observability, and ensure robust, production-grade systems. This hands-on role involves maintaining infrastructure-as-code, automating workflows, and contributing to monitoring and alerting strategies. You will work with cloud-native technologies in AWS and containerized environments, helping teams deliver software efficiently and reliably. The position offers opportunities to influence platform architecture, adopt best practices, and learn emerging technologies in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
- Accountabilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable, resilient infrastructure and applications in AWS.
- Develop and improve infrastructure-as-code using Terraform and other automation tools.
- Maintain and enhance deployment strategies and CI/CD workflows.
- Implement effective observability, monitoring, and alerting patterns for applications and infrastructure.
- Identify and resolve production incidents, and troubleshoot complex technical problems.
- Improve existing scripts, tools, and workflows to enhance developer experience and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure infrastructure supports high performance and reliability.
- Requirements
- BS/MS/Ph.D. or equivalent experience in a technical field with 2+ years in site reliability or cloud infrastructure roles.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages (Python, Ruby, JavaScript).
- Hands-on experience maintaining infrastructure in AWS and managing cloud-native services.
- Familiarity with CI/CD workflows, preferably using GitLab or similar tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with effective communication abilities.
- Ability to adapt quickly to competing priorities and learn new technologies efficiently.
- Preferred: knowledge of secure coding practices, AWS certifications, or open-source contributions.
