Role Overview

The Site Operations Manager will be responsible for leading end-to-end operations at the designated Shadowfax hub/site. This role will ensure operational efficiency, SLA performance, manpower management, and compliance with company standards. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in logistics operations, team management, and day-to-day hub execution.

Key Responsibilities

1. Day-to-Day Site Operations

• Manage daily operations including inbound, sorting, dispatch, last-mile delivery, reverse logistics, and partner coordination.
  
• Ensure 100% compliance to operational SOPs, safety protocols, and quality standards.
  
• Monitor and optimize hub capacity, throughput, and resource utilization.
  

2. Performance Management

• Track key KPIs: SLA adherence, TAT, cost per shipment, delivery success rate, rider productivity, and hub efficiency.
  
• Implement root-cause analysis and corrective action for SLA breaches and operational issues.
  
• Drive continuous improvements to reduce operational costs and increase efficiency.
  

3. Team & Partner Management

• Lead and manage on-ground teams including supervisors, sorters, pickers, loaders, and delivery partners/riders.
  
• Forecast manpower needs and coordinate recruitment with central teams.
  
• Train, motivate, and develop teams to achieve daily operational targets.
  

4. Inventory, Compliance & Safety

• Ensure proper handling, staging, and accounting of shipments at the site.
  
• Maintain security, loss-prevention measures, and adherence to compliance standards.
  
• Ensure proper EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) practices across the site.
  

5. Coordination & Communication

• Act as the key point of contact between central operations, client teams, local partners, and logistics associates.
  
• Coordinate with the linehaul team to manage arrival/departure of vehicles.
  
• Escalate network issues, vehicle delays, or operational risks proactively.
  

6. Process & Technology Adoption

• Drive automation, digital tools adoption, and system accuracy at the hub.
  
• Ensure real-time updates on dashboards, scanning compliance, and MIS reporting.
  
• Support product and engineering teams in piloting new tools or operational enhancements.
  

Required Qualifications

• Graduate in any discipline; MBA or specialization in Supply Chain/Logistics preferred.
  
• Minimum

  7+ years of experience

  in logistics site operations, hub management, or warehouse management.
• Experience managing large on-ground teams in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  
• Strong understanding of last-mile and middle-mile logistics operations.
  

Preferred Skills

• Hands-on experience with logistics tech platforms, WMS, TMS, and operational dashboards.
  
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  
• Ability to work under pressure and manage peak-load operations.
  
• Knowledge of compliance, safety, quality, and operational excellence practices.
