Job Description: Site Engineer - Civil 1. Position Title: Site Engineer - Civil 2. Department: Civil Engineering / Construction 3. Location: Saran 4. Reporting To: Project Manager / Senior Engineer - Civil 5. Employment Type: Full-Time Role Overview: The Site Engineer - Civil is responsible for overseeing day-to-day site operations, ensuring work is executed as per design specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations. This role involves managing contractors, site inspections, progress tracking, and resolving on-site issues efficiently. Key Responsibilities: 1. Individual Responsibilities: Supervise and execute construction activities as per project plans and designs. Ensure adherence to quality control standards and safety regulations. Conduct site inspections and resolve technical issues promptly. Maintain accurate site documentation, including DPRs (Daily Progress Reports). Coordinate with project teams for material procurement and delivery. Ensure proper usage and maintenance of construction equipment. 2. Supervisory Responsibilities: Monitor and guide site laborers, contractors, and subcontractors. Assign tasks and ensure completion within stipulated timelines. Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings for the workforce. Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) at the site. 3. Strategic Responsibilities: Assist in planning and scheduling site work to optimize efficiency. Identify and mitigate risks affecting project timelines. Recommend improvements for cost-effective and sustainable construction practices. Collaborate with structural engineers and architects for design execution. Ensure compliance with local building regulations and environmental policies. 4. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Timely completion of assigned construction tasks. Adherence to quality and safety standards. Reduction in material wastage and cost efficiency. Effectiveness in managing contractors and labor productivity. Accuracy of site reports and documentation. 5. Alignment within and outside the Organization: Internal: Coordination with project managers, quality control teams, and procurement teams. External: Liaison with subcontractors, government regulatory bodies, and material suppliers. 6. Reports to be Submitted & Periodicity: Report Name Frequency Purpose Daily Progress Report (DPR) Daily Track on-site work progress. Material & Inventory Report Weekly Monitor material usage and procurement needs. Safety & Compliance Report Monthly Ensure adherence to safety standards. Site Issue & Resolution Report As required Address on-site challenges and solutions. Qualifications & Experience: Bachelors or Diploma in Civil Engineering. Minimum 2-5 years of experience in site supervision and civil construction. Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project, and other site management tools . Strong understanding of structural drawings and construction techniques. Good leadership, problem-solving, and teamwork skills. Key Competencies: Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles.
