Job Title: Site Engineer (Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Computer Science) Role Summary Aattral Research Pvt Ltd is seeking a proactive and technically skilled Site Engineer to support field deployments of our Linux-based gateways and energy management software solutions. The ideal candidate will serve as the vital bridge between our field operations, internal development team, and client stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Install and configure Linux-based IoT/industrial gateways (e.g., RevPi, Raspberry Pi, or equivalent) at client sites. Assist customers with the initial setup and daily operation of our EMS (Energy Management System) and PPA (Power Purchase Agreement) dashboards/tools. Collaborate with our in-house software and firmware development teams to resolve site issues and relay field feedback. Perform basic network diagnostics, SSH access, and field-level debugging of connected devices (e.g., smart meters, inverters, controllers). Maintain logs of installations, client communications, and system configuration details. Support client on-boarding and user training for basic system use and alerts handling. Qualifications Diploma/Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Computer Science, or related fields. 1–3 years of experience in field service, system integration, or technical support roles. Proficiency with Linux terminal, SSH, basic scripting, and common networking tools (ping, trace-route, etc.). Familiarity with Modbus, MQTT, or similar communication protocols is a plus. Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Tamil. Preferred Attributes Ability to travel to client sites across Tamil Nadu or other regions. Passion for renewable energy, industrial IoT, and smart grid technologies. Self-starter, able to work independently and manage on-site situations with confidence.
