Site Accountant

The Site Accountant is responsible for managing all financial transactions, maintaining accurate site accounts, and ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards. The role involves handling day-to-day site expenses, vendor payments, payroll coordination, and reporting to the head office on all financial activities related to the project site.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain daily accounting records and site expense reports.

Handle cash, bank transactions, and maintain petty cash books.

Verify bills, invoices, and vouchers before processing payments.

Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for timely payment and reconciliation.

Prepare and submit periodic financial statements and expense summaries to the head office.

Monitor and control project-related expenses to stay within budget.

Assist in payroll preparation for site workers and staff.

Ensure compliance with statutory requirements such as TDS, GST, etc.

Support in audits and provide all necessary financial documentation.

Liaise with project teams to track material receipts and consumption records.

Ensure proper documentation and safe custody of all financial records at the site.

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance (B.Com / M.Com preferred).

2–5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in infrastructure or construction projects.

Good knowledge of accounting principles, GST, and TDS.

Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., Tally ERP, SAP).

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.

Good communication and coordination skills.

Ability to work independently at project sites.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
