The company will focus on developing and implementing localized safety applications to address the specific needs of the Indian industrial landscape, contributing to the protection of both people and the environment. The facility will support key industries such as rail, chemical, petrochemical and Oil & Gas, ensuring that these sectors benefit from the latest safety standards and technologies. Leveraging the global expertise of the HIMA Group, we provide independent safety solutions with a strong focus on functional safety and compliance.

Overall Tasks:

This is a full-time, on-site role based out of Pune.

The Lifecycle Service Engineer II is responsible for providing field services and technical support for HIMA Automation product lines in the India region, as well as on-demand support in other countries. In this role, you will execute HIMA's field services and provide exceptional technical support to customers in their entire lifecycle of safety systems. Lifecycle Service Engineer II will be in a capable to execute the complex site services and in a position to lead a team at site when required

Individual tasks include:

• Performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities on HIMA safety systems, including start-up, commissioning, loop checks, troubleshooting, fault analysis, repair, modification, and replacement of all HIMA hardware and software products, including communication between HIMA and third-party systems and equipment providers

• Conducting Site Acceptance Tests and Factory Acceptance Tests in accordance with HIMA's standard checklist, and conducting functional safety checks and system tests to verify the integrity and performance of safety systems

• Collaborating with customers to understand their safety requirements, and delivering offer technical advice, and providing solutions that meet their needs in compliance with HIMA standards

• Participating in the installation and commissioning of new safety systems, ensuring compliance with applicable HIMA safety standards and guidelines

• Monitoring the performance and availability of HIMA safety systems, analyzing data, and identifying opportunities for optimization and improvement

• Independently providing technical support to customers, maintaining clear and proactive communication, addressing their inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring timely resolution of service requests

• Generating accurate and detailed service status reports, documenting activities performed, findings, recommendations, and any additional actions required

• Executing site activities following HIMA's standards and checklist

• Performing integration testing as per HIMA's standard procedures

• Managing the site services at site or leading a team of resources independently

• Capable to demonstrate and communicate with customer on the Service execution plan, actions and recommendation

The role involves troubleshooting, providing field service, offering technical support, and performing maintenance and repair tasks. Day-to-day responsibilities include diagnosing and resolving technical issues, visiting client sites for on-site service, and ensuring the proper functioning of safety systems.

Qualifications

• Degree in Automation, Control Engineering, Instrumentation or related discipline
• 4+ years of working experience in the Safety Automation industry in a similar role
• Knowledge of Safety PES and Safety Standards
• Prior knowledge of HIMA PLC
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
