Your role and responsibilities
In this role, we are seeking a skilled Simulation Engineer with hands-on experience in Process Simulate to support the design, validation, and optimization of robotic automation systems for Body-in-White (BIW) applications. The role involves working closely with design, controls, and commissioning teams to ensure seamless integration and performance of robotic systems.

This role is contributing to the Robotics & Discrete Automation in Bangalore, India.
  • Develop and validate robotic simulation models for BIW processes including spot welding, arc welding, riveting, and material handling using tools like Process Simulate.
  • Simulate robotic paths, cycle times, clash detection, reachability, and layout feasibility; conduct virtual commissioning and support offline robot programming.
  • Collaborate with design engineers to optimize robot placement, EOAT design, cell layout, and ensure ergonomic compliance.
  • Support design reviews by providing simulation-based insights; interface with customers and internal teams to present results and incorporate feedback.
  • Assist in project planning, documentation, and provide integration support during build and commissioning phases.
Qualifications for the role
  • Bachelor s or Master s degree in Mechanical, Automotive, or Mechatronics Engineering.
  • 4-6 years of experience in robotic simulation for automotive BIW applications.
  • Proficiency in Process Simulate and familiarity with tools such as ABB Robot Studio, RobCAD, DELMIA, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of BIW processes, robotic integration, and manufacturing workflows.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with CAD tools (CATIA, NX) for design collaboration.
  • Exposure to Industry 4.0 and smart manufacturing technologies.
  • Familiarity with global automotive OEM standards and project execution models; willingness to travel for project execution and customer support.
