Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Construction Project Manager to oversee and manage all phases of our construction projects, from initiation and planning to execution, monitoring, control, and closure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading site teams, managing subcontractors, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving the successful completion of projects. Key Responsibilities 1. Project Planning and Initiation Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders. Develop comprehensive project plans, including detailed timelines, resource allocation, and budget forecasts. Obtain all necessary permits, licenses, and approvals required for the project. 2. Execution and Control Lead and manage the on-site team, including supervisors, foremen, and laborers, ensuring productivity and adherence to project schedules. Oversee and coordinate the activities of all subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers. Monitor project progress, identifying potential risks, delays, or cost overruns, and implement corrective actions proactively. Ensure that all construction activities are executed in accordance with engineering designs, quality standards, and specifications. 3. Budget and Financial Management Manage the project budget effectively, tracking all expenditure and providing regular cost reports. Approve material requisitions and contractor invoices. Negotiate contracts, changes in scope, and variations orders with clients and subcontractors. 4. Safety and Quality Management Enforce strict compliance with all company and statutory safety standards (e.g., BOCW Act, Factory Act, etc.) on site. Conduct regular safety inspections and site audits to ensure a hazard-free working environment. Implement and maintain a rigorous Quality Control (QC) program, conducting quality checks on materials and workmanship. 5. Communication and Reporting Serve as the primary point of contact for the client, architects, engineers, and regulatory bodies. Prepare and present accurate weekly and monthly project status reports to senior management. Manage project documentation, ensuring all records, correspondence, and drawings are up-to-date and properly archived. Required Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Experience: Minimum of 10 years of proven experience in managing construction projects, preferably in relevant industry, e.g., high-rise commercial or Residential infrastructure, Commercial Buildings, Production Houses. Technical Skills: Proficient in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6), MS Office Suite, and AutoCAD. Knowledge: Deep understanding of local construction laws, building codes, and safety regulations in India and Uttar Pradesh. Skills and Competencies Exceptional leadership, team management, and delegation skills. Strong financial acumen and budget management capabilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills (Hindi and English). Ability to handle high-pressure situations and resolve conflicts effectively.
