Position: Senior Merchandiser Department: Merchandising / Sales Operations Reports to: Merchandising Head / Business Development Manager Key Responsibilities:1. Client & Buyer Management o Acting as the primary point of contact for buyers, distributors, and key accounts. o Handling inquiries, negotiating terms, and ensuring customer satisfaction. o Building long-term relationships to generate repeat business. 2. Order Planning & Execution o Overseeing the complete order lifecycle – from order receipt to final shipment. o Preparing production timelines, delivery schedules, and allocation plans. o Monitoring order progress and resolving bottlenecks (e.g., delays in packaging, logistics issues). 3. Team Coordination o Supervising junior merchandisers and guiding them in day-to-day operations. o Ensuring effective coordination between sales, production, quality, logistics, and accounts teams. o Acting as a bridge between management and operational staff. 4. Export & Documentation Oversight o Ensuring accuracy and compliance in export documentation (Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Shipping Bill, Health/FSSAI Certificates, COO, etc.). o Liaising with CHA, freight forwarders, and banks for smooth export transactions. o Reviewing export proceeds realization and coordinating with finance teams. 5. Costing & Commercials o Preparing and reviewing cost sheets, product pricing, and margin analysis. o Assisting management in setting competitive yet profitable prices. o Negotiating with vendors for better rates and lead times. 6. Reporting & MIS o Preparing weekly/monthly order status reports for management. o Presenting insights on sales, margins, and future pipeline. o Identifying risks and suggesting corrective action. Required Skills:· Strong knowledge of FMCG operations, export processes, and supply chain management. · Excellent communication, negotiation, and client handling skills. · Ability to lead a team and manage multiple orders simultaneously. · Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, ERP systems, and email communication. Qualification & Experience:· Graduate / MBA in Commerce, Marketing, or Supply Chain. · 4–5 years of experience in merchandising, preferably in FMCG or export-oriented businesses. · Prior experience in handling buyer accounts and large-scale orders is an advantage.
