The role closely audits internal processes and generates actionable insights for multiple business functions such as inventory, cash flow, and store operations ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities Compile, analyze, and present monthly and quarterly financial MIS reports covering operating results, cash flows, profitability, and KPIs by location/store. Partner with business units to create meaningful dashboards for inventory, stock turnover, shrinkage/losses, order-to-cash cycles, receivables, and payables. Conduct internal audits of store-level cash handling, POS transactions, sales reconciliation, and inventory records to ensure accuracy and compliance. Monitor and report on working capital, fund management, and expense control measures by department and location. Identify anomalies, fraud risks, and control gaps in business processes; recommend corrective action and system/process improvement. Validate cost structure and expense items against budgeted and historical figures; escalate material deviations with root cause analysis. Prepare business analysis reports for new stores, renovations, and capital expenditure requests as part of expansion or improvement projects. Support implementation and review of finance-related SOPs across stores, warehouse, and support functions. ________________________________________ Retail-Specific Audit Focus Areas Inventory management: Physical vs. system stock checks, shortage analyses, expiry checks, vendor reconciliation. Sales and profitability: Store P&L analysis, margin tracking, promo effectiveness. Human resource/payroll: Attendance audit, payroll reconciliation, incentive tracking for store staff. ________________________________________ Qualifications and Skills CA Inter / MBA Finance with 3–6 years’ finance experience in a multi-site retail or FMCG environment. Advanced Excel/Google Sheets proficiency; knowledge of BI platforms (Power BI/Tableau) desirable. Strong grasp of internal controls, accounting principles, and audit techniques for retail processes. Experience with ERP/accounting software (Tally, SAP, or similar), retail systems integration a plus. Experinece with Ginesys ERP is preferred. Analytical, detail-oriented, and able to interpret large sets of operational and financial data for actionable insights.
