Shift Incharge - Cold Chain

Position Overview:

The Shift Incharge will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the cold storage warehouse during their designated shift. This role involves managing a team of 

warehouse personnel, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and 

optimizing processes to meet operational goals. The ideal candidate will have strong 

leadership skills, a thorough understanding of cold storage operations, and a commitment to 

maintaining the highest standards of product integrity. 

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership:

∙Supervise and lead a team of warehouse staff during the assigned shift. 

∙Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and 

accountability. 

∙Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, performance expectations, 

and any relevant updates. 

Operational Oversight:

∙Monitor and manage all cold storage warehouse activities, including receiving, 

storage, and shipping of temperature-sensitive products. 

∙Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety 

regulations. 

∙Implement and maintain inventory control processes to minimize discrepancies and 

losses. 

Quality Assurance:

∙Oversee the proper handling and storage of products to maintain their quality and 

integrity. 

∙Conduct regular inspections to identify and address any issues related to product 

quality or storage conditions. 

∙Collaborate with quality control teams to implement corrective actions when 

necessary. 

Process Optimization:

∙Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency enhancements within 

the cold storage operations. 

∙Work closely with the Operations Manager to implement best practices and 

streamline workflows. 

Communication:

∙Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including logistics, 

maintenance, and administrative staff. 

Provide regular updates on shift activities, challenges, and accomplishments. 

Emergency Response:

∙Act as the point of contact for emergency situations, coordinating response efforts to 

address any issues that may impact warehouse operations. 

Qualifications and Requirements:

1.Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. 

2.Strong leadership and interpersonal skills. 

3.Knowledge of safety regulations and quality standards in cold storage environments. 

4.Familiarity with inventory management systems. 

5.Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities. 

6.Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. 

7.Flexibility to work in shifts, including nights and weekends.
