HWS Shift Engineer - Knitting QA Summary of Job Profile: Responsible for Quality Checking of Fabric and packing, dispatch and inventory maintenance of finished fabric stock of domestic as well as export market. Industry: Textile Education Qualification: Diploma/Graduation (any) Experience: 4 to 7 Years Location: Baddi Salary Package: 30k to 35K Gross(Max) Shift Engineer Knitting Unit 1. Supervise knitting operations during the assigned shift to meet daily and monthly production targets. 2. Operate and monitor Auto Striper Circular Knitting machines and advanced Circular Knitting machines. 3. Produce high-quality knitted fabrics, including yarn-dyed, melange, and fancy yarn fabrics. 4. Ensure smooth production of melange, heather, speciality, and dyed yarns, including 100% Cotton, Polyester/Cotton blends, and blends with Viscose, Linen, Silk, and Nylon. 5. Manage the production of speciality yarns such as Jaspe/Siro, Flake/Snow/Chill/Injection/Neps Heathers, including slub and TFO doubled variants. 6. Oversee the process of producing package-dyed yarns, including Cotton, Polyester/Cotton blends, Cotton/Modal, and Mercerised yarns. 7. Conduct quality checks on all products to ensure they meet standards. 8. Set up knitting machines, perform changeovers, and adjust settings according to fabric requirements. 9. Handle troubleshooting and resolve machine and process issues to avoid production delays. 10. Maintain accurate records of production, including machine performance, fabric quality, and shift activities. 11. Manage raw material requirements, ensuring a steady supply of yarns and dyes. 12. Coordinate with the maintenance team for timely servicing and preventive maintenance of machines. 13. Train and guide machine operators and technicians to operate machines effectively and maintain quality. 14. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the knitting unit to promote safety and efficiency. 15. Monitor yarn quality, tension, and feeding systems to prevent defects in the final fabric. 16. Collaborate with the quality control team to address any issues and apply corrective measures. 17. Implement process control steps to boost efficiency and reduce waste during knitting operations. 18. Review production data to identify areas for improvement in machine performance and product quality. 19. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and promote a safe work environment. 20. Prepare and submit detailed shift reports with production data, machine performance, and any operational issues encountered.
