Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced ServiceNow Developer with deep expertise in ITSM, PPM, CSM, and custom workflow automation. The role involves designing, developing, integrating, and optimizing scalable ServiceNow solutions that align with enterprise IT strategies. The ideal candidate will possess strong scripting skills, experience with REST/SOAP APIs, JSON-based data structuring, and proficiency in implementing best practices across the ServiceNow ecosystem.

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years of experience developing and configuring the ServiceNow Platform.

Hands-on expertise in ITSM modules (Incident, Problem, Change, Request, Knowledge, Service Catalog).

Strong experience in Project Portfolio Management (PPM) – Project Workspace, Resource, and Timesheet Management.

Proficiency with JavaScript, Glide APIs, Jelly, AngularJS, and HTML/CSS for front-end customization.

Strong experience in REST/SOAP integrations, JSON data structuring, and Flow Designer.

Proficiency in CMDB configuration, import sets, and data integrity validation.

Experience with Performance Analytics, Reporting, and Notification framework.

Knowledge of ITOM Discovery, Integration Hub, and HR Service Delivery (HRSD) is a plus.

Experience using Git, Jenkins, or similar tools for DevOps and automation pipelines.

Familiarity with AI Search, Virtual Agent, or GenAI workflow enrichment is desirable.

Strong understanding of ITIL v4 best practices and Agile methodologies.

Excellent communication, problem-solving, and documentation skills.

Key Responsibilities

Design, configure, and customize applications within the ServiceNow Platform, including ITSM, PPM, CSM, and Service Catalog modules.

Develop and enhance Project Workspace, Timesheet Portal, and Resource Management components under PPM.

Build custom UI pages, widgets, and portals using Service Portal / UI Builder / App Engine Studio (AES).

Implement Flow Designer and Automation Engine for workflow orchestration, reducing manual dependencies.

Develop and maintain Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Policies, UI Actions, and Scheduled Jobs to enforce business logic.

Create and maintain REST / Scripted REST API integrations between ServiceNow and enterprise systems (HR, ERP, CRM, etc.).

Perform data imports, transform maps, coalesce rules, and SQL-based data validation to ensure data accuracy.

Customize dashboards, reports, and Performance Analytics widgets to provide actionable insights.

Collaborate with business analysts to translate functional requirements into technical deliverables.

Troubleshoot incidents, performance bottlenecks, and automation errors in the platform.

Implement security best practices, including ACLs, roles, encryption policies, and access management.

Support CI/CD pipelines, version control (via Git / ServiceNow Source Control), and Update Set migration processes.

Conduct unit testing, regression testing, and participate in UAT to ensure solution stability.

Prepare and maintain technical documentation, data dictionaries, and workflow design documents.

Actively participate in Agile / Scrum ceremonies – sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, and daily standups.

Stay current with the latest ServiceNow releases and apply upgrade-safe development practices.
