About the Role

ServiceNow Tester

Key Responsibilities

• Perform

  functional, regression, system, integration

  , and

  UAT testing

  for ServiceNow modules.
• Validate workflows, business rules, client scripts, UI policies, REST/SOAP integrations, and custom applications.
  
• Develop and maintain

  test plans, test cases, test scripts

  , and test data.
• Execute testing for ServiceNow upgrades (e.g., Vancouver, Washington DC, etc.).
  
• Ensure alignment with ServiceNow best practices and platform standards.
  
• Use automation tools such as

  ATF (Automated Test Framework)

  for regression testing.
• Work with developers, architects, and process owners to identify defects and track them to closure.
  
• Perform API validation using tools like

  Postman

  , Swagger, etc.
• Validate ITSM / ITOM / HRSD / CSM modules based on project requirements.
  
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint deliverables.
  
• Provide detailed test status reports and ensure high-quality releases.
  

Required Skills & Experience

• 47 years

  of experience in QA/testing, with at least

  3+ years in ServiceNow testing

  .
• Strong understanding of

  ServiceNow ITSM

  modules (Incident, Problem, Change, CMDB, Request).
• Experience testing

  workflows, catalog items, UI policies, client scripts

  , and business rules.
• Hands-on experience with

  ATF (Automated Test Framework)

  .
• Good understanding of

  ServiceNow integrations

  (REST, SOAP, MID Server).
• Strong knowledge of

  Agile/Scrum testing

  methodologies.
• Proficiency in test case design, defect management, and reporting.
  
• Ability to work closely with dev/BA teams to resolve defects quickly.
  
• Good communication and analytical skills.
  

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience in testing

  HRSD, ITOM, Discovery, CSM

  , or custom scoped applications.
• Knowledge of scripting (JavaScript) for basic validation purposes.
  
• Experience with tools like

• ISTQB or ServiceNow certifications.
