Position Title: Service Specialist Department : Supply Chain/Logistics Employment Type: Full Time (3rd Party Role - TeamLease) Main Purpose of Job: The service specialist is an associate forming part of the team responsible for transportation operations. The objective of the service specialist is to identify, mitigate, and record actions as they relate to risks associated with on-time pickup and on-time delivery. Within the team, the specialist will perform a variety of roles including tasks like shipping facility tracking, provider tracking, in-transit tracking, load recovery initiation, unload resolution, determining reassignment versus rescheduling, and providing value-stream level visibility to load status, among other transportation cost-and-service-based optimization activities for Nestle. Key Experiences: * Relevant experience in physical logistics * College/University degree required * Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. * Proficient in SAP and Transport Management System * Proficiency in Communication and Regional Language Roles & Responsibilities: Ensure all outbound deliveries planned for executed in-time considering defined cut off time agreed with CoC & relevant guidelines for Vehicle Fill Rate with required Service Level Adherance. Single Point of Contact to External Carriers On Time Pickup Management: - Ensure perfect tendering of loads - Liase with Carrier on indent acceptance tendered through carrier portal (Transporeon) - Ensure timely placement of vehicle as per tender - Monitor & Assist dock scheduling to ensure proper utilization of warehouse resources at units - Coordinate with Warehouse team to honour the appointments taken through carrier portal - Assure first time right vehicle placement in line with standard norms (dimension and vehicle quality) In-Transit Tracking: - In-transit tracking of vehicles, specially the hot loads identified through the Operational Visibility Tool (OVT) & In-transit Visibility Tool (IVT) - Coordinate with service provider and/or driver for all shipments delayed in transit - Ensure accurate tracking data of vehicles in-transit - Update the revised ETA to relevant stakeholders in case of transit delays - Ensure re-appointments for vehicles delayed in-transit, if necessary Financial Approval: - Ensure shipment end date and time is captured basis PoD acknowledgement - Coordinate with Carriers to accept FSD, if not done and assist Freight Settlement Coordinate with resolution of issues, if any - Support in timely and correct bill submissions by Carriers for payment processing Continous Excellence and Customer Satisfaction: - Participate in NCE operational review meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives of transportation operation process - Provide 360 visibility on status of open outbound deliveries to Units and internal team leads ** THE CANDIDATE MUST KNOW HOW TO COMMUNICATE IN BENGALI
