Service Engineer

2. Role Summary

Responsible for installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment to

ensure optimal performance and customer satisfaction.

3. Key Responsibilities

A. Technical Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and commission equipment/machinery.
• Perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical/electrical/system issues.
• Conduct functional testing and system verification after repairs.
• Ensure proper calibration and settings of equipment.
• Maintain tools, test instruments, and service equipment in good condition.

B. Customer Service Responsibilities

• Provide on-site and remote technical support to customers.
• Communicate issues, repair status, and solutions clearly and professionally.
• Train users on correct operation and basic maintenance.
• Ensure customer satisfaction through timely and quality service delivery.

C. Documentation Responsibilities

• Prepare service reports, maintenance logs, and repair records.
• Document installation details, parts replaced, and work performed.
• Escalate issues and report recurring faults to supervisors/engineering teams.

D. Safety & Compliance Responsibilities

• Follow all company safety policies and industry standards.
• Ensure safe work practices during installation and maintenance.
• Identify and report hazards or unsafe equipment conditions.
• Comply with regulatory and quality guidelines (e.g., ISO, OSHA).

E. Team & Coordination Responsibilities

• Coordinate with engineering, sales, and support teams for customer

requirements.

• Assist in field trials, product testing, and feedback collection.
• Participate in technical training, workshops, and skill-upgrade programs.

4. Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of mechanical/electrical/electronics systems (customizable).
• Ability to read technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and manuals.
• Good communication and customer-handling skills.
• Time management and problem-solving ability.
