Job Title: ServiceNow ITOM Developer (CMDB, Discovery & Service Mapping ) Experience: 3-8 Years Location: Remote/Hybrid (based on project dependence) Employment Type: Full-time Job Summary We are seeking a skilled ServiceNow ITOM Developer with expertise in CMDB, Discovery, and Service Mapping to design, develop, and optimize IT Operations Management solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in configuring and maintaining ServiceNow Discovery, Service Mapping, and CMDB to ensure accurate IT asset and service modeling. Key Responsibilities Design, configure, and implement ServiceNow ITOM modules (Discovery, Service Mapping, CMDB, Event Management). Develop and maintain automated discovery patterns for infrastructure, applications, and cloud services. Configure and optimize Service Mapping to visualize application and infrastructure dependencies. Ensure CMDB health by maintaining data accuracy, reconciliation, and normalization. Integrate ServiceNow ITOM with third-party tools (Monitoring, Orchestration, Cloud Platforms). Develop custom MID Server configurations for discovery across hybrid environments. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Discovery, Service Mapping, and CMDB. Collaborate with IT teams to align ServiceNow ITOM with ITSM processes (Incident, Change, Problem Mgmt.). Create and maintain technical documentation, including process flows, design specs, and user guides . Stay updated with ServiceNow ITOM best practices and new features. Required Skills & Qualifications 3-8 years of hands-on experience in ServiceNow ITOM (Discovery, CMDB, Service Mapping) . Strong expertise in ServiceNow Discovery patterns (Probes, Sensors, MID Server). Experience with Service Mapping (manual and automated), topology visualization, and service modeling. Deep understanding of CMDB data model , CI classes, relationships, and reconciliation rules. Knowledge of ITSM integrations (Incident, Change, Asset Mgmt.) with ITOM. Familiarity with Event Management, Orchestration, and Cloud Service Mapping (AWS, Azure). Proficiency in JavaScript, Glide API, REST/SOAP integrations . ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) - Discovery or Service Mapping is a plus. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience with ServiceNow Performance Analytics and Health Log Analytics . Knowledge of ITIL processes (v3/v4) and IT asset lifecycle management.
