4+ years experience, 1+ year experience in leading a small team Job Location: Bangalore (100% onsite, work from studio) Degree / Bachelors in Arts or Design is preferred Description We are looking for a Senior Visual Designer who excels both as an individual contributor & as a mentor to junior colleagues. In this role, you will be accountable for creating exceptional visual interfaces, independently planning, prioritizing & delivering visual design activities. You will drive the development & maintenance of scalable design systems to ensure cohesive visual language across projects. Role & Responsibilities Creative responsibilities Craft visual interfaces for consumer & enterprise mobile apps (iOS, Android & Hybrid), responsive web apps, and websites. Build & maintain design systems and component libraries that ensure consistency across all platforms. Create engaging visualizations & infographics tailored to project needs. Develop deliverables & visual assets that effectively convey the mood, tone, and aesthetic, helping clients position their products or services. Create assets & detailed style guides to ensure a smooth and efficient handover to development teams, maintaining design consistency & clarity. Work closely with other designers & stakeholders to align on project goals and deliver exceptional outcomes. Identify & create micro interactions, transitions, gestures that elevate the user experience for each product or website. Leadership roles Manage & distribute work for junior visual designers, ensuring their time is utilized effectively while fostering professional growth. Participate in the hiring process by conducting interviews & assessing assignments to build a strong design team. Continuously push the boundaries of visual design, driving innovation & setting new standards within the studio. Must have Skills Extensive experience in building, scaling & maintaining design systems for digital products, ensuring consistency and efficiency. UI Component Development & Documentation Strong background in creating, documenting, evolving UI components, patterns & guidelines with a focus on usability and scalability. Deep experience in using Figma to build, manage & document design systems, including components, variables and auto-layouts, ensuring seamless collaboration with designers. Demonstrated ability to work closely with designers & stakeholders to drive adoption and ensure seamless integration of design systems. Hands-on experience in implementing WCAG-compliant design systems to create inclusive digital experiences for diverse user groups. Proficiency in optimizing design systems for multi-platform use, with a solid understanding of front-end development principles (HTML, CSS, React, or similar frameworks). Ability to present & explain design decisions clearly. Delivering projects on time, mentoring & managing teams effectively. Independently document UI designs, ensuring clarity and consistency for smooth execution. Create high-quality presentations to effectively communicate design decisions and concepts. Ensure timely delivery of assigned tasks, both for yourself and your mentees. Mentor and nurture junior designers, guiding their growth toward independence and excellence in design.
